About
Susan Nelson (she/human) is a Canadian visual artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Aotearoa (New Zealand). Her sculptural art practice explores the inter-worlds of materiality, psychology, and relational pluralities.
She is passionate about authenticity and creative process as a means of revealing the unconscious through play and material relationality, exploring a wide range of materials such as rescued wood, bronze, plasticine, hair, wax, clay, yarn, paper, and hard candy.

Su is a member of mothermother Art Collective and is currently completing a Master’s in Visual Arts at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
